The Media Mojo has streamlined their microcassette to cd transfer service over the years to provide you with a high-quality audio transfer at an economical price. Microcassette tapes were used mostly for voice recording in dictation machines and answering machines. Many of our customers have used this particular service to preserve precious family audio recordings on these very microcassette tapes.
Since modern CD’s can only hold 80 minutes of audio, tapes longer than 80 minutes will be broken down into two discs. Tapes can be split at specific points upon request, otherwise, they will be split by side A and side B.
MC60 – This tape is 60 minutes and will only require one CD.
MC90 – Will require 2 CD’s to complete a transfer given that standard CD’s can only hold 80 minutes of audio. ($4)
Choice of Output Format
You can choose to have your media converted to either .wav or .mp3 files. By default, we will transfer all orders to CD.
WAV – Standard CD format used for professionally mastered CDs.
MP3 – Compressed digital file used mostly for digital audio devices such as iPods and other Mp3 Players.
It can be useful to break your audio recordings into individual tracks so you are able to easily navigate from song to song on your new CD.
We will include up to the first 18 tracks for this service. If your project has more than 18 tracks there will be an additional charge.
Please note that there must be obvious breaks in the music for us to be able to distinguish where to cut tracks. If you have more complicated track splitting requirements please contact us and we can accommodate your specific needs.
Using state-of-the-art audio restoration software we can remove hiss/background noise from most audio cassette tapes. By taking a sample of noise we can isolate it and remove it from your recording giving you a much cleaner audio track.
Have the album title and tracklist printed directly on to the face of the CD. You can also provide us with an image file to have a full-color high-resolution picture printed.
